Thomas Hardy - Tess of the D\'urbervilles (BBC 2008 - Part 2) torrent

The BBC's adaptation of Thomas Hardy's classic from 2008.

The tragic tale of an innocent country girl who is destroyed by the social and religious hypocrisies of her day.

I have to admit I was expecting to hate this dramatization because I'm a big fan of the Justine Waddell version, but Gemma Arterton made the role her own. Personally, I still believe that the 1998 version is the better in that it has much warmth and the chemistry between Tess and Angel is something to behold. However, this version does have the benefit of an extra hour (4 hours as opposed to 3) and this means than more of Hardy's text can be explored.

In short watch this and also the Justine Waddell version. They both deserve a viewing.
