Extricating Erskine and Adolf from PNG proves a headache for the pair as they are required to meet an Australian submarine by Boxing Day.

Unbeknown to Cato is that Erskine and Adolf are forced to take shelter in a bunker after being pursued by Japanese soldiers.

Being in the bunker, built by the Australian army, presents a challenge in itself as Cato orders it be heavily protected by artillery fire to keep it free from Japanese occupation.

Their only escape is to go through the allied bombardment.
