The Classic Tale of Hansel and Gretel is specially adapted in this stop-motion animated version directed by F. Harryhausen.

In this adaptation, Gretal upsets a table causing a pitcher of milk to break, spilling the milk. Hansel tells Gretel that to replace the spilt milk, they should go deep into the forest and collecy a basket full of berries.

Hansel takes half a loaf of bread and they embark on their journey. Hansel leaves a trail of breadcrumbs so that they can find their way back home. However a bird eats all the breadcrumbs. Now Hansel and Gretel are lost in the woods with no hope of returning....


Ray Harryhausen (born Raymond Frederick Harryhausen on June 29, 1920 in Los Angeles, California) is an American film producer and a special effects creator and created a brand of stop-motion model animation sometimes called Dynamation.
