In contrast to prog acts like E.L.P. which combinated rock with classical elements, Renaissance attempted to blend pompous classical arrangements with folk and of course, pop. Mostly very gentle and verythey appealed not only hardboiled prog devotees but also the wider public during their peak in the mid-seventies.
