These are the visions of Adam, a poet who ha lost his beloved in a car crash. A national tragedy imposes on a personal one. It is 2010, a Biblical year for Poland with floods, fires, landslides and the catastrophe of the presidential plane being torn apart i mysterious circumstances along with the nations elite. Adam gives up his job as professor of literature to work at a supermarket checkout. Yet all he wants is to sleep, escaping from the painful reality.

O pai ara o piso dum supermercado com touros rasgando os ladrilhos. Uma floresta cheia de cadáveres e uma catarata dentro duma catedral. Estas são as visões de Adam, um poeta que perdeu a amada e seu melhor amigo num acidente de carro. Uma tragédia nacional se impõe sobre a pessoal. É 2010, um ano bíblico para a Polônia com inundações, incêndios, deslizamentos e a catástrofe do avião presidencial destruído em circunstâncias misteriosas matando a elite nacional. Adam desiste do seu trabalho como professor de literatura e vai trabalhar como caixa de supermercado. Entretanto, tudo o que ele quer é dormir para escapar da dolorosa realidade.
