My Blu-Ray rips are always taken DIRECTLY from the actual blu-rays, not re-encodings of an earlier h264 torrent, and not "filled in" with web downloads.
HEVC is a superb machine, but it should be given quality raw materials.
----------------
This is Led Zeppelin's performance at the Ahmet Ertegun Tribute Concert on 10th December 2007.
Jason Bonham joined his later father's bandmates for a blistering and probably final performance.
Named "Celebration Day" when released a few years later across many formats, this is a 10 bit HEVC, taken from the actual blu-ray.
I used x265, "veryslow" preset, to create a 10 bit VBR in 2 passes, at an average of 2000kbps and peak of 3000kbps. It took several
attempts using less bandwidth, to get the quality I was happy with. The final encoding required 13 days on a spare Athlon PC!
The audio is 5.1 AC3 at 384kbps. Unusually, this blu-ray plays at 29.97fps (NTSC speed). I tried to use inverse telecine to convert
it to 23.976fps but the results were poor in places, so 29.97fps it is, I'm afraid.
I also included named chapter marks, so that you can locate your prefered songs.
