M O V i E S U M M A R Y

Jack Torrance (Jack Nicholson), becomes the caretaker of the Overlook
Hotel in up in the secluded mountains of Colorado. Jack, being a family
man, takes his wife (Shelley Duvall) and son (Danny Lloyd) to the hotel
to keep him company throughout the long, isolated nights. During their
stay, strange things occur when Jack\'s son Danny sees gruesome images
powered by a force called \'the shining\' and Jack is heavily effected by
this. Along with writer\'s block and the demons of the hotel haunting
him, Jack has a complete mental breakdown and the situation takes a

PROPER NOTES: ELiTEMEDiA released a rip in 12/00 which had a framerate
of 29.97. Considering its 100% film material it needs to
be IVTC\'d to appear correctly (the jitter you can see in
EM\'s sample) Also the source they used was mono but
encoded as stereo. It wasn\'t until 5/01 until this
remastered DVD with 5.1 DD hit the stores. The picture is
exactly how Kubrick film it with an AR of 1.37:1, so the
resolution is a little strange. Enjoy this classic horror!
