Jamie O'Neal (born Jamie Murphy on 3 June 1968, in Sydney, Australia) is a contemporary country singer and songwriter who has had success in the United States. Her parents, Jimmy and Julie Murphy, were also professional musicians. In the early part of her career she was a backing singer in her native Australia, appearing on Kylie Minogue's Enjoy Yourself Tour of Australia, UK, Europe and Far East Asia in 1990. She rejoined Minogue's tour in 1991 for the Rhythm of Love Tour (Australia and Far East Asia) and the Let's Get To It Tour of the UK and Ireland.

In her career, she has released 11 singles, charted two #1 Country singles, and has released two studio albums. Her second album, On My Way to You was never released. Over the years, she has been on three different country labels, all having success at each one.

In the early months of 2008, O'Neal signed with record label 1720 Entertainment. A new single, "Like a Woman", was released in November, where it debuted at #59 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. The single is the lead-off single from her third official album of the same name. Like a Woman will be released March 31, 2009.
