Un ring video de haut rang adoptant une mise en scène classique fidèle aux recommandations de Wagner. Sans atteindre la violence et le dynamisme de Chéreau, sa beauté visuel et son bon niveau global en font la version de référence, la plus neutre. Permettant, comme le voulait Wagner, à chacun de trouver sa voie dans cette œuvre. A découvrir en premier donc. Décors et costumes très réussi mais un peu sombre par moment.

Meilleur niveau vocal filmé à ma connaissance. Bon son malgré un enregistrement publique et l'épidémie de bronchite sur New York...
