*Special note about continuity*:

Both, the first season of Flash and the third season of Arrow, aired at the same time (in fact, 1 day apart). Both shows share the same universe, occasionally reference one another, and even cross over here and there.

I highly recommend that from here on out, you alternate your viewings of the series; 1 episode of Flash, then 1 episode of Arrow. It's really cool the way they wrote it, because the times they do cross over, it's supposed to be in the same week (kind of a "real time" thing, but ya' know, in "TV time").

Anyway, Flash is a pretty phenomenal show. The tone is completely different from Arrow, and if you're into sci-fi elements (I'm just gonna' throw "time travel" and "multiverse" out there as hints), superpowers, and metahumans, this series is very freakin' enjoyable for that. It's also less angsty and melodramatic than Arrow. But both still have their pros and cons, depending on what your personal preferences in writing/characterizations are
