Robert Culp and Eli Wallach are two research scientists at the Tower Mountain Research Station (based on the University of California's White Mountain Research Station), located at the top of a mountain above the Arctic Circle, who are trying to unravel the mysterious death of a colleague, Dr. Vogel, following a series of strange transmissions.
