"Demons" was solicited to United States Triple A radio stations on January 28, 2013 and United States Modern Rock radio on April 1, 2013. It has been confirmed that the song will also be released as the fourth single from Night Visions in 2013.The band has stated that the video would "fit nicely with the artful imagery of "It's Time" and the thoroughly out-there puppet grappling of "Radioactive".Released on May 7, 2013 and shot in Las Vegas, Nevada at the band's performance at The Joint on February 9, 2013, the video features a mix of live footage of the band and a companion narrative. The video focuses on individual people's personal hardships such as someone who has lost a member of their family, someone who struggles with self-image, someone who has an abusive parent, and someone who lost a friend at war while shots of the concert are also included in the video. The video ends "in Memory of Tyler Robinson" including a short clip at an Imagine Dragons concert filmed at Velour Music Gallery.The song has so far reached 59 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Musically, "Demons" is a indie rock ballad while the lyrics speak of the protagonist warning the significant other about his flaws.
