Brilliant characterisations excellent acting and a fabulous script. William Hurt is brilliant as the creepy protagonist but Billy Bob Thornton is the damaged goods hero to perfection. I watched all 8 episodes non stop they were riveting and it was the class of acting by the whole cast that made this so gripping and the best legal/detective drama I have seen in a long time. It has all the political intrigue of China Town with all the warmth of Erin Brockovich. Many of the plot devices were never told in full like real life so it did not presume the audience were to stupid to see this happened because that happened. If you have 8 hours tomorrow watch it like I did it was a gem!
