Diwan and Bhagail Singh kill Kanwar because of a property dispute. In the aftermath that follows, Kanwar's wife Lajwanti and her sons Shankar and Ravi are separated. Shankar wanders around in search of his mother and his brother Ravi. Meanwhile, Ravi grows up working for Diwan and falls in love with his daugther, Rita. Years later, Shankar and Ravi become best friends unaware that they are actually brothers. Diwan and Bhagail Singh, who resent Shankar and Ravi's friendship, conspire to break them apart and send Shankar to jail framing him for a theft. Once out of prison, Shankar tries to get revenge on Ravi, but discovers that they are actually brothers. The rest of the plot narrates how Shankar and Ravi avenge their father's death and reunite with their mother.
