Naharsingh the village landlord sets the crops of two brother's(Tulsiram and Murli) on fire, so as to keep them in his clutches and grab their land. Tulsiram's wife is seriously burnt in the fire. Shankar the 10 year old son of Tulsiram rushes to the local deity's temple and gets back with prasad but by the time he reaches, she is dead. He loses his faith and devotion in god. The film revolves around the story of love and faith and how he regains it back.
