-One their way to the airport, two vacationing girl friends pick up a friendly hitchhiker. They don’t know that their new companion is actually a drug smuggler escaping from the police. The car is stopped at a roadblock, where the hitchhiker makes a run for it. The two girls are taken away on smuggling charges, unaware of the hell that awaits them. The two girls are sentenced to 11 years in “Purgatory,” the toughest penitentiary. The girls soon realize no one cares about their predicament. In despair the girls realize that they must find their inner strength they don’t even know if they have.

-Två amerikanska kvinnor på väg ut ur ett fiktivt afrikanskt land blir stoppade i tullen. Planterat knark gör att kvinnorna döms till fängelse – ett fängelse där våldtäkt och andra övergrepp är vardagsmat. En av kvinnornas moder tar hjälp av en dyr advokat för att försöka få dem fria, vilket motarbetas från flera håll än vad de kunde föreställa sig.
