Everything You Know Is Wrong (1975 - Firesign Theatre) torrent

Okay, let me warn you that if you do not know who Firesign Theatre was, you might not want to download this film. Their comedy is an acquired taste. If you are a fan and have never seen this, it is the movie that was made from the original record soundtrack by the same name. Yes, while most movies make a soundtrack based on the film, this is a film based on the soundtrack and they lip-synced the entire movie. Talk about talent! So don't blame me if you see any lip-syncing issues :)

I am pretty sure this movie was never released in a digital format and relatively sure that even the VHS tape was pretty rare. I happened across two copies in a Los Angeles video store during the 80's and bought them both, one for me and one for my then business partner, who was also a fan.

I have transferred this VHS tape to the best of my ability. There is one bad area where the tape was bad, but fortunately it occurs during the closing credits.

Plot:

Great news! A meteorite has punched a bottomless pit in the earth, and famed daredemon Rebus Cannibus is going to leap it on his cycle. Meanwhile, mild-mannered trailer park manager Art Wholeflaffer records yet another mind-expanding message to the seekers of the world, follow-up to his hit "Gas Music from Jupiter." Because, as we all know, there's a seeker born every minute! What Art doesn't know is he's about to be contacted by piano-playing aliens bent on world conquest! Or maybe they've just come to see to it everyone learns to play the piano.
