Synopsis

Episode 5:
Ruimte-afval verzamelt zich boven Eureka en vormt zo een gigantische wolk van afval die de stad en zijn inwoners dreigt te vernietigen. Carter moet uitvinden waarom het afval zich als een wolk verzamelt voordat een ramp zich zal voltrekken.
Eerst verdenkt hij een wetenschapper die het ruimte-afval als een wapen wil gebruiken. Later, op een wetenschappelijke tentoonstelling van de middelbare school waar hij ontdekt dat een van de studenten een mini ontwerp van zijn moeder heeft gebruikt dat een electromagnetisch veld zodanig laat afbuigen dat het metalen voorwerpen aantrekt. Het ontstaan van de afval wolk is daardoor verklaard en Carter, met behulp van andere wetenschappers, zijn vervolgens in staat om de wolk te laten oplossen in de atmosfeer.

Synopsis

Episode 5:
Space junk is massing over Eureka, forming a giant debris cloud that threatens to destroy the town and its inhabitants. Carter must find what is drawing it, and why, before disaster strikes. At first, they suspect a scientist who tried to use space junk as a weapon. Then, at the high school science fair, Zoe messes with a rival's project, an array, and all metallic things are drawn to it. They discover that an array of a similar design is on top of GD, used to take deep-space photos. It was made by the mother of the student who created the smaller, original version. When the array bounces off of the electromagnetic shield around GD, it creates one giant magnet. Carter and the GD scientists are able to make the space junk dissolve in the atmosphere.
