Plot:
Disgruntled residents on an estate which is frequently burgled form their own posse and nab a burglar, Polish immigrant Jarek Kozyra, who one of them,Olle,beats up and leaves for dead in the woods, torching his car. When Jarek's wife reports him missing she gives Wallander his mobile phone, on which he finds a picture of a dead woman, taken in a house Jarek robbed.

Wallander is adapted from the late Henning Mankell's Kurt Wallander novels. This first episode of the second series, Hämnden (The Revenge), was released in Swedish cinemas in January 2009; the rest of the series was made for television.
