#29 A man named Doctor Regulus gets revenge against someone named Mister Morgna by kidnapping his son, Dirk Morgna, and experimenting with him. Giving the son fire-based powers, the Legion are able to defeat Regulus but try to figure out what is wrong with Dirk Morgna.

#30 Spark and Live Wire face their brother Mekt, the Lightning Lord. Live Wire loses his arm in the battle. Meanwhile, some Legionnaires travel into the past to speak with Superboy so they can figure out a way to save Valor in the future.

#31 The Legion of Super-Heroes and Superboy are able to free Valor from the Phantom Zone and cure him of his lead poisoning.

#32 The Legion of Super-Heroes deal with the threat of Chronos, a super-villain who was granted true time-traveling abilities thanks to Neron.
