Philippe II is on the throne of France, Richard the Lionheart is the prisoner of Henry VI, the Holy Roman Emperor, but he might be getting out soon, Philippe is trying to make a deal with the Emperor's two emissaries in Paris to keep him imprisoned.

To impress them, he asks his man Tristan AKA le Triste Sire, the Sad Lord (big littlefinger influence here), to keep the streets and whorehouses clean. All well and good until the Sad Lord kills someone he maybe shouldn't have...
