Hoodlum Priest - Heart of Darkness (1990) (192 kbps)

Debut album from the Hoodlum Priest (musician Derek Thompson, of Irish background, but born and raised in London). Effectively a solo project, the album had little success: shortly after the album's release, the ZZT label was bought by Warner Bros, whose legal department immediately requested the album be deleted (because of its many samples) (see below). The album was later re-released on the Hoodlum Priest website on 6th June 2006 (06/06/06). The cover art features a picture of an eyeless Tunisian.

It's a great album, ranging over an eclectic mix of styles. Fans of the industrial sample-laden music of the time should not miss it.
