Lil' Gideon, a supposed psychic / Grunkle Stan's mortal enemy, makes a show where he demonstrates his powers. He gets enamored with Mabel and invites her to meet him. She doesn't want to go, but also doesn't want to break his heart, especially in front of other people. Gideon is defeated at the end of the episode and reveals Volume 2 of Dipper's book indicating he is going to get revenge.
