The dazzling debut from that shining superstar Alison Blaire, aka DAZZLER!

She literally burst onto the comic scene in 1980's UNCANNY X-MEN #130. Initially dismissed as a disco gimmick, Dazzler has seen and done it all and endured alongside the greatest of divas and heroes alike. Using her incredible light powers to compliment her even more impressive voice, Dazzler was infamous for her performances well before her debut album was even recorded.

Unfortunately, talent isn't always a measure of success. Having finally made a name for herself in entertainment, Dazzler outed herself as a mutant in a publicity stunt she hoped would bring more understanding but instead caused panic, fear and hatred.

The Dazzler story is far from over and with public favor turning more positive towards mutants all the time, she has been experiencing a slow but sure resurgence in popularity. 'Sounds of Light and Fury' was recently reissued after Billboard named it "One of the Greatest Pop Albums of All-Time" and serves as a reminder that the world has only gotten a glimpse of this brilliant talent!
